All calls are confidential and one-on-one. Meetings are held via Zoom, a safe and secure platform that is HIPAA-compliant. The NYC Breastfeeding Warmline provides non-clinical advice. Public Health Solutions is not responsible for individual outcomes.
To schedule a one-on-one consultation with the Breastfeed Warmline:

When you call, please be prepared to share the following information: name, phone number, zip code, and a brief message about what’s going on with feeding your baby.
Prenatal and Newborn Feeding Workshop
This interactive, virtual workshop is open to all pregnant families, focusing on breastfeeding, making milk, pumping, knowing when baby is getting enough, and the use of breastmilk substitutes. Grab a baby doll or stuffed animal for skills practice and get all your questions answered! Partners/support persons are encouraged to attend. Workshops are held monthly.

Baby Cafés
Our Baby Cafés are drop-in clinics that provide a relaxed setting for families to come together to learn about and discuss their experiences with breastfeeding and receive support.
Under the guidance of an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, we address your concerns about painful latching, baby not getting enough breastmilk, pumping and flange fitting, infant weigh-ins, the effectiveness of products on milk production, and more.
Impact
Research shows that breast milk protects babies’ health: babies not breastfed are at increased risk of experiencing a host of illnesses and infections, including asthma, ear and respiratory infections, Type 2 diabetes, obesity and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Women who do not breastfeed are at increased risk of Type 2 diabetes, breast or ovarian cancer and postpartum depression. Promoting and supporting breastfeeding is thus a foundational public health strategy. It is universally recognized as a low-cost intervention that protects the health of mothers and babies while reducing health care costs.
