Thomas Salvo, Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development, has been involved in the management of human capital for over 15 years, primarily in the nonprofit sector. Tom holds a Master of Science with Distinction in human resources management and labor relations from New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hofstra University. Prior to joining Public Health Solutions, Tom served in the top Human Resources role at Glen Cove Hospital and as Vice President of Human Resources at Sandata Technologies in Port Washington, NY. Tom’s previous experience includes senior HR roles at St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children in Bayside, NY and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he developed strong benefits, safety and labor relations programs.
Tom displays a collaborative leadership style and is a results-oriented Human Resources professional with strong consulting and critical thinking skills. He is adept at building human capital initiatives in support of the organization’s business strategy and developing a culture that supports employee engagement and enhances organizational effectiveness.
