Lisa David joined Public Health Solutions (PHS) as President and CEO in September, 2015, and is currently leading the team in its service to over 200,000 New Yorkers.
Prior to joining PHS, Ms. David was Interim CEO of Medicines360, a nonprofit pharmaceutical company that brought Liletta to market, a hormonal IUD available at a very affordable price to low-income women. Lisa presided over the company during a transition period from the founder to new leadership. During her tenure, the product received FDA approval and was launched on the market. She continues to serve on the Board of Medicines360.
Ms. David was EVP and COO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America for six years. She was responsible for supporting the health care strategy and work of the 67 US affiliates as well as the Planned Parenthood global services in Africa and South America. In addition, she was responsible for Education, Health Information Technology and Data, Finance and Human Resources. During her tenure, she worked with affiliates to overcome the economic downturn of 2008-2009, prepare for the Affordable Care Act, and build out digital health services.
Prior to her appointment at Planned Parenthood, Ms. David was the Vice Chair for Administration of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Columbia School of Physicians and Surgeons, where she partnered with the Chair to implement a financial turnaround of the Department and to build out three subspecialty programs: Prenatal Pediatrics, focused on fetal anomalies and high-risk multiple births, Gynecologic Oncology, and Reproductive Endocrinology. During her tenure, Department revenue grew from $18 million to $62 million annually.
Ms. David spent the first 17 years of her career as a health care consultant, during which time she was a Partner at Chartis, Women’s Health Management Solutions, and APM.
