Public Health Solutions Celebrates 2016 NFP Graduates
As part of a national program that provides evidence-based home visiting services to vulnerable, first-time mothers, the Public Health Solutions Nurse-Family Partnership serves Northwest Queens, and provides services throughout the area from pregnancy through the child’s second birthday.
Featuring remarks from Public Health Solutions President and CEO Lisa David, Senior Director of Maternal and Child Health Services Marci Rosa, and an inspiring speech by NFP graduating mom Andreyna Jimenez, the ceremony marked the completion of the latest cycle, and the families gathered to acknowledge and celebrate each other and their achievements.
Each family received a certificate from their assigned nurse, who gave a heartfelt message to each family, expressing pride in their accomplishments.
The children, dubbed “NFP Superstars,” wore superhero capes and were the focus of a slide show that showed pictures of each of them as they entered the program and right before the graduation.
A great time was had by all, as evidenced by the faces of the smiling mothers and children at the ceremony and the reception.
